Placette is published by Antoine Laborderie, a private individual publishing a non-commercial site in France: a public noticeboard for town events. The publisher is also the publication director (directeur de la publication).

Members are responsible for the events they post, including their accuracy and the right to publish their text. Placette links to the organiser's original post; it does not organise the listed events or control external websites. Check details with the organiser before attending.

Members can report an event from its page with the “Report this event” link. Anyone can write to the address in the contact section with the event's link and the reason for the report. The publisher can review and remove unlawful, inaccurate or inappropriate content.

Placette's original design and code are protected by intellectual property rights belonging to their authors. Copying or reuse requires permission unless an applicable licence or the law allows it. Members retain rights in their own event text and must respect the rights of others.

The self-hosted fonts, Bricolage Grotesque and Figtree, are distributed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Links to third-party content do not transfer rights in that content.
